Borderlands 3 Best Legendary Artifacts

There are a bunch of legendary artifacts in Borderlands 3, however, which are the best? The cop-out answer would be that it kinda depends because some of them work really well if you have a dedicated build and they complement your playstyle. However, there are a few artifacts that rise above the rest and I’m going to cover these in this Borderlands 3 guide.

Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge

The Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge is one of the best artifacts in the game. It increases your damage as long as you deal damage. Each consecutive successful hits grant a 1% damage bonus that can build up to an additional 90% damage bonus.

This artifact just straight-up continues to boost your damage. While it is a bit less effective on Zane due to his damage formula but you can’t go wrong with this one.

You can get consecutive hits by using your weapon, grenades, or action skill. This makes it easy to stack and if your grenades or action skill are dealing damage while you are reloading, that way, you won’t lose your stacks.

The Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge can only be obtained as a quest reward in theGun, Love, and Tentacles DLC. You will get this artifact from Claptrap before you ambush the mansion in the “The Call of Gythian” quest.

Company Man

The Company Man is a unique Legendary Artifact that provides you with 3 manufacturer-specific bonuses.So if you have a very specialized build that leans into a specific manufacturer you can get a lot of mileage out of this item as it offers significant boosts.

There are a bunch of S-Tier weapons in Borderlands 3 that already wreck your opponents but with the Company Man artifact, you can enhance their performance even more.

The Company Man is a Director’s Cut exclusive Legendary. You can get one by farming Hemovorous the Invincible.

Victory Rush

The Victory Rush is a great end-game artifact as its effect is triggered by killing a badass enemy and those are more likely to spawn when you are playing end-game content.

Every time you defeat a badass enemy you will get a movement speed and damage increase for 60 seconds. That’s a pretty long boost that you can benefit from.

This artifact can come with various prefixes so ideally, you want to pair it up with a good one.

The Victory Rush can be obtained from any loot source but has a high chance of dropping from Azalea who is located in Jakobs Estate on Eden-6.

Shlooter

The Shlooter is a Legendary Artifact that will dramatically increase your legendary drop chance and which Vault Hunter doesn’t like more Legendary Loot?

This increase is triggered every time you kill an enemy and last a short time. The Shlooter only increases the number of world drops. This means that dedicated loot drops from bosses and named enemies are not affected by this artifact as they have a fixed drop rate.

The Shlooter can be obtained fromVault Card 2 – Welcome to Pandorafor 5 Vault Card Keys or at random by opening up a Vault Card Chest.

Toboggan

The Toboggan is all about Sliding. So if you like the speed of a “Snowdrift” artifact the Toboggan offers you that same speed but with additional benefits. Every time youperform a slide it’s gonna give you a protective bubble shield which grants you damage reduction. However, you can also trade this shield for an AMP shot. Because if you shoot while shielded your first shot will deal AMP damage but it will consume your bubble shield.

The Toboggan is anArms Race exclusive Legendary. It can randomly drop from any suitable loot source within the Stormblind Complex located on Pandora. However, you have a high chance of getting the Toboggan from the Red Chest at location D on the Arms Race map.

Otto Idol

The Otto Idol is a great legendary artifact when you need a bit more survivability instead of damage. Because this artifact will restore a percentage of your max health with each kill.

This artifact can come with various prefixes so ideally, you want to pair it up with a good one.

The Otto Idol can be obtained from any loot source but has a high chance of dropping from Rachel, the Anointed who is located in the Cathedral of the Twin Gods on Pandora.
